Located in the boundary of Yunnan province and Tibet, Meri Snow Mountain is the hinterland
of Jinsha River, Lantsang River and Nujiang.

Kagebo Peak is the main peak of Meri Snow Mountain, and is regarded as the local Defensor's
residence, because Kagebo means the God of Snow Mountain in the Tibetan.

In late autumn and the early winter, waves of pilgrims from Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai and Gansu come there to pilgrimage. And this phenomena is called as Zhuanjing meaning prayer.

Till now, Meri Snow Mountain has not been conquered by human beings because of her steepness.

The main peak of Namjagbarwa is as high as the clouds. As the local legend goes, all the divinities of the Heaven always get together on its peak.Tibetan in all ages consider Namjagbarwa as the Way to the Heaven, the residence of God, and the Holy Land which can not be disturbed by hunman beings.

They say Namjagbarwa is the Guarded Sword of King Gesar for saving the world.The local people composed by Lhoba, Monba and some minorities are friendly, honest and live by hunting. In Search of the pure land

Daocheng,Xiangcheng and Drong are the central components of the Shangri-La.The three sacred mountains of Daocheng are regarded as the landmarks of the Shangru-La.Mt.Haizi which Contains lots of small lakes connecting Xiangcheng, north of Daocheng and south of Litang has an average altitude of 4500 km.
